What: The Pantry Ministry provides food and clothing to individuals and/or families in need (or just struggling a little at the moment).
Where: Church on the Hill Fellowship Building, 19100 FM 1431, Jonestown (just between Jonestown and Lago Vista). Look for the signs.

When:  1st & 3rd Thursday afternoons from 4 - 7 p.m.
Why: To help anyone in the North Shore community to offset the rising cost of living and grocery prices, and to demonstrate the love of Jesus in a practical way.

A little more about us:
We reserve a section of our Fellowship Building for use as a food collection/storage area and another for a clothing and household item "store." Visitors are welcome to check in with volunteers on site and ask to peruse the store or go "shopping" for the food we have available. Our partnership with Austin-area food banks allows us to collect donations from area grocery stores -- though this stream of supplies is often unpredictable in terms of how much we'll receive, we have witnessed time after time that God is good and he provides!

As such, donations are always welcome of food and necessary goods. Please contact Virgie Carter if you have any questions about what we can accept and what we cannot accept (space is limited).

We kindly ask that all food and items given by the pantry not be re-sold. We do this to offset the rising cost of just getting by for anyone in our community.

We will offer to pray with you and connect you to other ministries and social services in the area, but please know that you are under no obligation.

If you would like to volunteer please let us know! We could always use help picking up donations, arranging shelves, folding clothes, cleaning the fellowship hall, and greeting guests.

Monetary donations are also graciously accepted and we are working on an online giving solution very soon. Stay tuned.

The Church on the Hill Pantry Ministry is run by a committee elected by the congregation at a church-wide business meeting. It is accountable to the leadership of Church on the Hill, but volunteers are given a lot of leeway and freedom to lead the ministry in the way they see fit. Their decisions are final. Since they are volunteers your patience and gratitude is appreciated for their time and effort!
